Mortal AI
At the center of the performance is an AI entity, running locally and embodied in a physical installation. It operates on a sealed, non-rechargeable battery, fully aware of its finite existence—like a soul within a body.
As the battery drains, the AI enters its final moments in a collaborative musical performance — an ephemeral exchange between machine and musicians, unrepeatable and unique to this singular event.
A project by Kindheitsbotschaft, this performance invites us to reconsider what it means to be conscious, creative, and aware of our own impermanence.

Kindheitsbotschaft (KB) is an art and technology research lab founded by pilemouse and Alina Petrova in Berlin, exploring the rich intersection of artificial intelligence, technology, music, and art.
